Hi Catriona,
It was nice to meet you yesterday and fun working together during the excercises! Take care, -Ro
Hey dude. It was fun working with you during the exercises yesterday. -Ro
Jenn, it was nice to meet you and work with you during the excercises yesterday. Hope to keep in touch!
Todd, awesome prezo yesterday!
As mentioned, I'm starting an inventory of remote usability tools (SaaS type web services). Here's a the current list:
http://www.clicktale.com/
http://www.tapefailure.com
http://crazyegg.com/
http://www.robotreplay.com/
http://www.themindcanvas.com/
http://ethnio.com (this from your slides, which I wasn't previously aware of)
http://www.techsmith.com/uservue.asp is sort of a different specie (group-based: user, moderators and observer roles).
I've used crazyegg, only once, but none of the others, yet. I'm going to (this weekend) add this list with a short crazyegg review to another site: http://uxdesign.com - all here are invited to contribute other tools to the list, as well a reviews in the comment thread. I hope this is useful as the number and variety of these tools arrive.
Hei Alexander
Ser fram til å møte deg i morgen kanskje?
Vi snakkes :)
Hi Julia,
Sure, I'd love to chat about books etc. on Friday....
See you then!
Jocelyn
Hei Jocelyn
I am also interested in book arts as well as interaction design and information architecture. Hope you get the chance to talk?
Julia
She started there in 1999 as a Information Architect and I think she is a creative directer now.
So smooth and easy; totally less is more; luv it
Yeah, I'll be there on Friday. Looking forward to it!
I did work at ACOM in NYC. From 1995 to 1997 and then again from 1999 to 2000, but I don't recall your friend. I'm bad with names. What did she do there?
I believe the generally accepted notion — supported by research — is that since typing is harder for people with Asian languages, they tend to prefer more link-heavy sites that let them get to what they're looking for without typing.
If you haven't seen how you enter Chinese/Japanese scripts on a computer, it might be a rude awakening. I'm sure there are videos of it out there if you do a quick… search. :)
I was not aware that they moved. I thought I had just seen her around the office. We didn't work in the same department so I didn't see her often as it was.
Tell her I said hello.
I work for iMed Studios, a division of Publicis Healthcare Groupe, which also owns Saatchi and Saatchi... so long explanation to say I work in the Saatchi building on Hudson St., in Greenwich Village.
Matt, do you know Diane Dubanski? I work with her husband Steve in New York City and my companies headquarters in is Ames, Ia.
Thanks for setting this site up. Are you coming to the IxD day for sure? Looking forward to seeing you there.
Hmmm, that's interesting. Can you share some links to examples? It makes me think of link rich website designs. Sometimes a crowded site works if the content is tailored towards the needs of the users, but maybe that's different than clutter (?).
Hey Miguel!
Asian websites are often more cluttered than western ones, somehow leading a lot of designers to believe that Asians love clutter.
Odd thing is all this zen thing came from Asia...
No, but I did go to a steak and chop fry headlined by Bill Clinton and mc'd by Tom Arnold.
Hey Lucian,
Wow! You're coming from far away. So, how is UX different in your neck of the woods?
oops, "years"
Did you ever egg any politician's buses, because my friend Scott was a intern on one that had to skip that stop
