week after, strategy still stuck
Brandon I have to say that a week on now I notice that the strategy session has proven its staying power, and every day I think most about all the great theory, practice, and process insight you generously shared with us.
Also of course how im...

I really enjoyed your presentation and thought it was very informative. The slides were also excellent. I walked away with a clearer understanding of how and where I fit into the overall design of the user experience.
I thought your presentation was excellent and very informative. I enjoyed talking to you on Thursday. Thanks for the insight.
Comics in Interaction Design
There are a couple of online comic creation tools that could be a quick and easy way to storyboard ideas...

Good Movie about Ethnography
The other design method my group worked on was ethnography -- Geoff did a good job illustrating an ethnographer sitting on top of a ladder observing the subject. This is based on a very interesting and warm-hearted Norwegian/Swedish movie called K...

Todd, awesome prezo yesterday!
As mentioned, I'm starting an inventory of remote usability tools (SaaS type web services). Here's a the current list:
http://www.clicktale.com/
http://www.tapefailure.com
http://crazyegg.com/
http://www.robotreplay.com/
http://www.themindcanvas.com/
http://ethnio.com (this from your slides, which I wasn't previously aware of)
http://www.techsmith.com/uservue.asp is sort of a different specie (group-based: user, moderators and observer roles).
I've used crazyegg, only once, but none of the others, yet. I'm going to (this weekend) add this list with a short crazyegg review to another site: http://uxdesign.com - all here are invited to contribute other tools to the list, as well a reviews in the comment thread. I hope this is useful as the number and variety of these tools arrive.
Airport shuttle service
Anyone want to share a cab back to the airport on Friday? I have a 6pm`ish flight.
Sushi!
Ate at Isobune in that Japanese mall next to the hotel - very cool. Sushi comes by on wooden boats floating in a circular canal of water. You just grab anything that looks interesting while the sushi dudes in the middle refill the boats. The place was packed! I'm stuffed and happy.
Hi Julia,
Sure, I'd love to chat about books etc. on Friday....
See you then!
Jocelyn
Hei Jocelyn
I am also interested in book arts as well as interaction design and information architecture. Hope you get the chance to talk?
Julia
She started there in 1999 as a Information Architect and I think she is a creative directer now.
I did work at ACOM in NYC. From 1995 to 1997 and then again from 1999 to 2000, but I don't recall your friend. I'm bad with names. What did she do there?
I believe the generally accepted notion — supported by research — is that since typing is harder for people with Asian languages, they tend to prefer more link-heavy sites that let them get to what they're looking for without typing.
If you haven't seen how you enter Chinese/Japanese scripts on a computer, it might be a rude awakening. I'm sure there are videos of it out there if you do a quick… search. :)
I was not aware that they moved. I thought I had just seen her around the office. We didn't work in the same department so I didn't see her often as it was.
Tell her I said hello.
I work for iMed Studios, a division of Publicis Healthcare Groupe, which also owns Saatchi and Saatchi... so long explanation to say I work in the Saatchi building on Hudson St., in Greenwich Village.
Matt, do you know Diane Dubanski? I work with her husband Steve in New York City and my companies headquarters in is Ames, Ia.
Thanks for setting this site up. Are you coming to the IxD day for sure? Looking forward to seeing you there.
Hmmm, that's interesting. Can you share some links to examples? It makes me think of link rich website designs. Sometimes a crowded site works if the content is tailored towards the needs of the users, but maybe that's different than clutter (?).
Hey Miguel!
Asian websites are often more cluttered than western ones, somehow leading a lot of designers to believe that Asians love clutter.
Odd thing is all this zen thing came from Asia...
No, but I did go to a steak and chop fry headlined by Bill Clinton and mc'd by Tom Arnold.
